Hey! I’m Amanda, and I started Cookie Cult.
Back in 2020, I was made redundant from my job in the oil and gas industry. Like a lot of people during the pandemic, I found myself wondering, “What now?”
With everything feeling a bit upside down, I turned to something simple and comforting: baking. At first, it was just for fun—a way to lift my spirits and treat my family and friends. But then people started asking for more. Friends told their friends, and soon strangers were reaching out to get their hands on my cookies.
Before long, my tiny flat in Aberdeen couldn’t keep up with the orders. That’s when I realised this could be something bigger. I turned my parents’ garage into a little bakery and started selling at local markets. I was blown away—hundreds of cookies would sell out in under an hour!
In 2023, with lots of love and support, I opened Cookie Cult’s very first shop in Aberdeen’s West End.
What started as a way to cope with uncertain times has turned into a full-on cookie adventure—built on joy, community, and a serious sweet tooth.
